1 Over the past ten years more than two dozen athletes have died from the medical condition known as heatstroke. Heatstroke occu

rs when the body’s internal temperature becomes so elevated that its cooling system begins shutting down. Who is most at risk? Surprisingly, it is younger athletes. They often either do not recognize or ignore the warning signs until it’s too late. To make matters worse, children’s bodies are much less efficient than adults at cooling themselves. A promising new product hopes to end the all too common heatstroke trend. It is called a thermometer pill.
2 While it doesn’t look much different from the average vitamin capsule, the work it does inside the body is truly amazing. Once ingested these capsules send an internal body temperature reading to a portable device that is not much bigger than an iPhone. A coach or professional trainer monitors the device during practices or events held when temperatures and heat indexes are particularly high. If an athlete’s body temperature reaches a dangerous level, the monitor immediately transmits an alert. The player is then rushed indoors and placed in an ice bath to rapidly decrease his or her body temperature. This is important, since internal organs can begin shutting down at 105 degrees Fahrenheit.

3 While these tiny lifesavers have proven to be effective, they are quite expensive. On average the cost is $50.00 per pill. However, many parents of young athletes say that it is a small price to pay for the peace of mind it gives them on a hot, sultry day.

What chain of events is taking place, according to this essay?
A) Summer is bringing about the start of athletic events.
B) Heat is causing death by heatstroke in young athletes.
C) Thermometer pills are causing young athletes to be cautious.
D) Thermometer pills are bringing about some unfamiliar side effects.

Answer:

Bullies need to be stopped

Explanation:

The reason behind this is people can not only be physically hurt they can also be mentally hurt. But usually the only reason the bully is bullying is because they are going through something tough. Sometimes they just need someone to help them and make them understand how they really need to stop. But sometimes bullies just do it for fun and dont get how serious it is. And so all the bullies need is someone to help it might be tough but it will help.

Tell me a horror story, please
zaharov [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

Everyone loves the first day of school, right? New year, new classes, new friends. It's a day full of potential and hope, before all the dreary depressions of reality show up to ruin all the fun.I like the first day of school for a different reason, though. You see, I have a sort of power. When I look at people, I can...sense a sort of aura around them. A colored outline based on how long that person has to live. Most everyone I meet around my age is surrounded by a solid green hue, which means they have plenty of time left.A fair amount of them have a yellow-orangish tinge to their auras, which tends to mean a car crash or some other tragedy. Anything that takes people "before their time" as they say.The real fun is when the auras venture into the red end of the spectrum, though. Every now and again I'll see someone who's basically a walking stoplight. Those are the ones who get m*rd*red or k*ll themselves. It's such a rush to see them and know their time is numbered. With that in mind, I always get to class very early so I can scout out my classmates' fates. The first kid who walked in was basically radiating red. I chuckled to myself. Too da.mn bad, bro. But as people kept walking in, they all had the same intense glow. I finally caught a glimpse of my rose-tinted reflection in the window, but I was too stunned to move. Our professor stepped in and locked the door, his aura a sickening shade of green.
