Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(3,8) (6,10) (9,12) (a,b)

I dont see any answer choices, and there can be several answers....but I will try to explain

A function will not have any repeating x values...it can have repeating y values, just not the x ones....so all ur x's have to be different....and it doesn't matter what ur y is.

so the answer to this is :

(x,y)

ur y can be any number

ur x can be anything but : 3,6, or 9...so as long as ur x is not 3,6, or 9, then it will be a function

The lines y= 2x+4 and y=x-3 intersect. find the coordinates of the point of intersection
Yuri [45]

Answer:

(-7, -10)

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve for x and y in double variable equation

y = 2x + 4

y = x - 3

y = x - 3, plug in to first equation

x - 3 = 2x + 4

x = -7

y = -7 - 3

y = -10

(-7, -10)

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

The fourth choice,  b = +\- sqrt( sg + a^2)

Discussion:

s = (b^2 - a^2)/g     =>              multiply both sides by "g"

sg = b^2 - a^2        =>               add a^2 to both sides

sg + a^2 = b^2       =>                take the square root of each side

b = +\- sqrt( sg + a^2)

which is the fourth choice.

Thank you,

MrB
