2 Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth,
mash [69]

<u>The correct answer is D. The men who had just spoken before him. </u>  At the beginning of his speech he apologizes for not agreeing with most of the opinions expressed previously by some of those present. He asks them to fight for freedom since peace does not exist even though men shout peace! peace!. The expression "siren song or song" refers to the speech with pleasant and convincing words but that may hide some deception or seduction. Patrick with his words inspired the beginning of the American Revolution. He incites the struggle not to chains and to slavery.

Please help due in 2 hours✋ I needs to be 3 paragraphs long and use RACE.
inessss [21]

The solution is given below using the RACE Format.

<h3>What is RACE?</h3>

RACE is a format for answering questions. RACE is an acronym for:

  • Restate
  • Answer
  • Cite Textual Evidence
  • Explain.

R: What does the passage reveal about Mary and Martha and what are the two traits that can be used to describe them?

A:

Martha has a strong personality and is self-aware. Mary on the other hand seems unsure.

C:

The evidence are:

<em>"Well", said Martha </em><em>Stoutly...; </em><em>and </em>

<em>"</em><em>Not at all-really. But I never though of that before."</em>

E:

The evidence of the answer is reflected in the way Martha spoke. She said to have spoken "Stoutly". Mary on the other hand is shown to be <u>unsure </u>of herself. This is because when Martha asked her about what she thought about herself, she had to pause to think about it. Note that in her response, she even said she had not given it a thought before.

The following question is based on your reading of “The Book of Songs.”
Gwar [14]

Hello

The combination of literal and figurative meanings apply to Impromptu is a a lovely woman: a dangerous alliance.

Figurative language is when you use a word or phrase that does not have its normal, and literal meaning. In literal language, words do have the exact sense of their meaning.

In this case, a lovely woman would be a sweet woman, with a lot of sweet nothing. But then we have that a lovely woman means a dangerous alliance. If everything is pink color, then why would be a lovely woman a dangerous alliance? It's a good example of figurative meaning.

Hope this helps.
