5. Analyze Wiesel includes statements and reactions from other prisoners,
Svetach [21]

Answer:

They claim that the concentration camp is much better than it was before and that Wiesel should consider himself lucky to have made it to that moment.

Explanation:

When Elie arrives at the concentration compound, called Buna, the prisoners claim that compared to before, Buna is now a paradise. Elie doesn't understand how that place can be a paradise, since it looks like hell on earth. However, the veterans claim that before the concentration camp had no water or food, the prisoners had no blankets and slept naked amid the negative temperature, being a miracle that some of them survived. New prisoners would not experience as bad an experience as veterans, even if their situation was not good either.

Do you think it was necessary for Buck to kill Spitz? What might have happened had Spitz survived?
Solnce55 [7]
1) It was quite necessary not only for Buck, but also for others struggling to survive in the wild North. If he hadn't killed Spitz it it could have been very dangerous for others because he was very aggressive due to the hunger. Even though he was the leader, blinded by hunger he could do anything to survive, forgetting about the rest of dogs.

2) If he hadn't died he could have get many other innocent lives, like he had done to Curley. This character yielded to the external conflict of the harsh wild conditions, and his instings were much more powerful than his sense of justice so he could have bring harm until he reached his own safety.
