The correct responses are checked on the attached image:

 • written by Thomas Jefferson
 • one section stated grievances against England
 • the author used the ideas of John Locke

Details:

In preparing the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson and the American patriots were asserting their right to govern themselves and throw off the government of the British monarchy. The American founding fathers got ideas like this from the Enlightenment philosopher John Locke. According to Locke's view, a government's power to govern comes from the consent of the people themselves -- those who are to be governed. In his Second Treatise on Civil Government, Locke argued for the rights of the people to create their own governments according to their own desires and for the sake of protecting their own life, liberty, and property. This also meant the right to change a government if the existing government did not protect those rights.

In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson offered a list of "facts to be submitted to a candid world" -- a list of grievances to demonstrate that the British king had been seeking to establish "an absolute Tyranny over these States" (the colonial states which were declaring their independence). Revolution was justified, in the view taken by the colonists, if it could be shown that the British government was acting in tyrannical ways toward the colonies.

During World War II, Germany gave up its plans to invade Great Britain because __________.
Scilla [17]
During World War II, Germany gave up its plans to invade Great Britain because germany failed to destroy the British air force. Hitler had made up plans to invade Great Britain by using his own airforce. This operation was named operation Sea Lion. Hitler sent most of his fighter and bomber planes to attach Britain. The RAF responded to this attack with equal ferocity. A violent dog fight ensued and ultimately resulted in German defeat. This broke the plans of Hitler of capturing Great Britain. Ultimately he gave up the plans and never ever tried to invade Britain again.

What does aristotle mean in saying that the city state is natural?
Ivanshal [37]
Aristotle lays the foundations for his political theory in Politics book I by arguing that the city-state and political rule are “natural.” The argument begins with a schematic, quasi-historical account of the development of the city-state out of simpler communities. First, individual human beings combined in pairs because they could not exist apart. The male and female joined in order to reproduce, and the master and slave came together for self-preservation. The natural master used his intellect to rule, and the natural slave employed his body to labor. Second, the household arose naturally from these primitive communities in order to serve everyday needs. Third, when several households combined for further needs a village emerged also according to nature. Finally, “the complete community, formed from several villages, is a city-state, which at once attains the limit of self-sufficiency, roughly speaking. It comes to be for the sake of life, and exists for the sake of the good life”
