Answer:

C To foreshadow future events.

Explanation:

In medias res is a literary device in which the story begins in the middle of the plot (sequence of events) and not at the beginning of it as it occurs normally, this implies writers that use in media res do not follow the chronological order of the events but begin in the middle of them and just after this present the beginning of the story. Writer use this literary device to present specific events to the reader that are connected to previous events and probably solved or continue in future events, thus, in the case of medias res use future events can be predicted or foreshadow as the reader will have to use the information mainly provided in flashbacks to guess how the story gets into the point presented at the beginning which is the middle of the story.

Answer:

D

Explanation:

Medias res's literal translation is the middle of the action, more or less.

A and C do not refer to the action, so they are not right.

Out of D and C, although very similar, D is correct, as the wording shows that the beginning of the story is in the middle.

TEA [102]

Answer: Know—In the Holocaust, Jews were persecuted by Nazi Germany.

Know—Jews in Germany often hid in the homes of people willing to shelter them after it was too dangerous to try to escape the country.

Know—During the time of the Holocaust, food and necessities were strictly rationed. Each family was given ration cards and could turn them in for their allotted food for a period of time (usually a week, sometimes longer).

Know—Jews who were discovered were taken to concentration caps where they were tortured and killed.

Know—Families who harbored Jews were taken to the camps as well, or sometimes, killed immediately upon being discovered.

(This next part you can literally write anything you want to know, there's not a right answer, but I'll give some examples).

Want to Know—How many Jews survived the concentration camps?

Want to Know—Were there Nazi soldiers who secretly helped the Jews?

Want to Know—Did any families like Anne Frank's survive the Holocaust without being found?

Want to Know—Did people who told the Nazis about locations of Jews who were hiding get rewarded?

Hope this helps!
