Woman's rights groups today focus on fighting to keep abortions legal in regard to abortion.

Further Explanation:-

The abortion-rights movement of the United States is known to be a sociopolitical movement that supports the view that women should have the right to an elective abortion legally. That means she has the right to terminate her pregnancy and this movement is also a part of the global abortion rights movement. A variety of organizations are part of this movement but it has not even a single centralized decision-making body. The main turn in regards to the abortion rights movement of the United States came with the decision of Supreme court when it gave a decision in Roe vs Wade case. This decision struck down most of the laws used to restrict abortion and after this verdict, Abortion was decriminalized and legalized in many states but only elective abortion. The other side of this abortion rights movement was a debate that took place in United States with regards to this issue and it was related to the extension of these rights to the pre-born at an expense of restricting the rights of pregnant women as many argue that the human life starts with the conception. woman's rights groups today focus on fighting to keep abortions legal in regard to abortion.

Woman's rights groups focus on the woman's right to abortion.

In many countries, it is still a crime to terminate a pregnancy even if the mother's life is at risk. 44% of the world's annual 227 million pregnancies are unintended, of which 56% end in abortion.

In countries with restricted access to abortion, many women die as a consequence of an abortion done unprofessionally, often secretly and at a great risk. Even in countries where abortion is legally permitted, access to it can be difficult and costly ( mental stereotypes, doctor refusing to perform the abortion on moral grounds, not being able to afford it).

Woman's rights groups focus on and stress that:

- women have the moral right to decide what to do with their bodies,

- banning abortion puts a woman's life at risk by forcing her to use illegal abortionists,

- the right to abortion is vital for gender equality,

- the right to abortion should be a fundamental right,

- every woman should be granted access to a legal and risk free abortion, without any criminal prosecution for it.
