Answer:

A. Fundamental Role

Explanation:

Carbon is present in all the organic compounds, specifically the macromolecules present in the cells of the living beings. The ability of carbon to make four covalent bonds with other atoms and specific orientation of bonded atoms in the space determine the three-dimensional structures of these compounds. And the structure of the compounds regulates their respective functions.

For example, nucleic acids are the polymers of nucleotides which are joined together to make the long chains of DNA and RNA.  The stretch of nucleotide sequence of DNA serves as gene and code for specific protein. Likewise, enzymes are proteins and have pockets called active sites to interact with substrates.

Do you think you would have some genetic traits similar to your grandparents? EXPLAIN your answer.
pogonyaev

Answer:

Yes.

Explanation:

Genes are passed on from generation to generation. When a male and a female produce an offspring, the offspring would get half of their genes from their mother, and the other half from their father. So your parents get half of their genes from their parents, (which in this case, are your grandparents) and they pass them on to you. Unlike your parents, you get traits from both sides of your family, some from your mother's side and some from your father's side.

This is why you share similar traits as your grandparents and at the same time, there is also a chance that you also share some (of course not all) traits with your direct cousins, because they also share some traits to your grandparents.

How does temperature change with elevation and latitude
UNO [17]
When altitude increases, air temperature decreases because when there is an increase in altitude, there is a decrease in air pressure. When air pressure decreases, air cools down. Latitude affects temperature because the closer you are to the equator, the more intense the sun will be.
