What is the difference between an eyewitness account and a news article?

An eyewitness account would be a primary source whereas a news article would be secondary because it would be based they could write whatever they want where an eyewitness account would see the whole thing and be more credible.

In the year 2020, there was a massive outbreak of AIDS in South America. A brilliant doctor from the United States decided to go to Rio De Janeiro to investigate the situation. He found out that two million inhabitants were diagnosed with AIDS. He began experimenting on different patients to find the perfect serum. The case was so sever that he got the disease because his immune system got low due to his unending research. Prior to his death, he created a powerful serum from several organic herbs from the Amazon and infused it with the patients. Luckily, the serum cured the patients and the media gave recognition to the scientist who save the society of Brazil.

Tom actually didn't do the whitewashing, it was Ben and the his other friends whom he lured into whitewashing as he told them it was an enjoyable thing to do. Being given the chance to do the whitewashing, Tom's friends gave him a prize in return.
