A science test, which is worth 100 points, consists of 24 questions. Each question is worth either 3 points or 5 points. If x is

the number of 3-point questions and y is the number of 5-point questions, the system shown represents this situation.
x + y = 24

3x + 5y = 100

What does the solution of this system indicate about the questions on the test?

The test contains 4 three-point questions and 20 five-point questions.

What’s the measure of ABC?

Answer quick please!!!
max2010maxim [7]

Answer:

ABC = 87°

Step-by-step explanation:

So ABC is x + 32 because the angles are vertical. ABC is also supplementary to ABD so you can make an equation.

3x + 15 = 180

3x = 165

x = 55

ABC = 55 + 32 = 87

(3, 62)

Since that second equation is equal to y, you can substitute the entire thing into the top equation, getting rid of the y and solving for x. It equals 3.

You can then plug 3 in for x on either equation, which should be 62.

A train makes a trip at 65 mi/h. A plane traveling 130 mi/h makes the same trip in 3 fewer hours. Write and solve an equation to
bulgar [2K]
time= distance/speed

take distance as d. take time as t.

the time taken: d/ 65 for the train however it is the same distance for d/130 so we can say (d/65)-3 = d/130

now solve the equation, multiply both sides by 130
2d-390=d
2d-d=390
so d=390 mi
