A carnival has a duck pond booth. You choose a rubber duck at random. The mark on the bottom of the duck tells you whether you w

on a small, medium, or large prize, or no prize at all. There are 65 ducks floating in the pond. There are 3 marked as large-prize winners, 13 ducks marked as medium-prize winners, and 21 ducks marked as small-prize winners. Find the theoretical probability of winning a medium prize at the duck pond. Express your answer as a decimal. If necessary, round your answer to the nearest thousandth.

Hi there! :)  I believe the answer is 0.2. The way I got 0.2 is because there are 13 medium-sized ducks and there are 65 total ducks floating I did 13/65( 13 divided by 65) which equals 0.2. For theoretical probability you divide by the number of outcomes.

Suzie starts her hike at 220 feet below sea level.When she reaches the hike she is still below level sea level at -171 feet. Wha
EastWind [94]

Answer:

+49 feet

Step-by-step explanation:

The inicial position that Suzie started her hike was 220 feet below sea level, so as this inicial position was negative, let's use the negative sign for it:

Inicial position = -220 feet

The final position of the hike was 171 feet below sea level, so:

Final position = -171 feet

So we calculate the change in elevation from the beginning to the end of the hike by making the difference between the final position and the inicial position:

Change in elevation = Final position - Inicial position = -171 - (-220) = -171 + 220 = +49 feet

The change in elevation was +49 feet (the positive sign indicates that the movement was upwards, in direction to "above sea level")

The average height of middle school students at Seton Grove School is found to be 5.25 feet. Which sample makes this generalizat
Ede4ka [16]

Answer:

every other student who enters the school

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that the middle school students have an average height of 5.25 feet. The students belongs to Seton Grove School.

It means that every student who comes to this school or enters the school has a height that is around 5 feet or more.

Thus we can say that every other student who enters the school has a average height of 5.25 feet.

This sample makes the generalization about the heights of the school students valid.

Find the width of a cereal box that has a volume of 5,568 cm3 and is 29 cm long and 48 cm high.
jeka94

Check the picture below.

\textit{volume of a rectangular prism}\\\\ V=Lwh~~ \begin{cases} L=length\\ w=width\\ h=height\\[-0.5em] \hrulefill\\ L=29\\ h=48\\ V=5568 \end{cases}\implies \begin{array}{llll} 5568=(29)w(48)\implies \cfrac{5568}{(29)(48)}=w \\\\\\ 4=w \end{array}

PLEASE HELP!

A customer that uses an internet plan that costs $10 per month is expected to give a customer rating of 6

<h3>How to determine the customer rating?</h3>

We start by calculating the regression equation of the table of values using a graphing calculator.

Using the graphing calculator, we have:

y = 0.04x + 5.75

When the cost is $10 per month, it means that

x = 10

So, we have:

y = 0.04 * 10 + 5.75

Evaluate

y = 6.15

Approximate

y = 6

Hence, a customer that uses an internet plan that costs $10 per month is expected to give a customer rating of 6
