1. primary and secondary active transport proteins differ in that primary active transport proteins __________.
Alisiya [41]

Secondary active transport protein link the transport of an ion downward its gradient with the transport of another particle against its gradient, whereas primary active carrier proteins move both components in the opposite direction of their respective gradients.

Which proteins are essential for active transport?

Instead of channel proteins, carrier proteins are used in active transport. Since these carrier proteins require ATP to change shape, they differ from those seen in facilitated diffusion.

Why do proteins play a part in active transport?

 • Specialized carrier proteins are needed for active transport, and cellular energy must be used.
 • When a chemical's phospholipid bilayer is impermeable to it or when there is a concentration gradient, carrier proteins allow chemicals to pass through the membrane.

What kinds of proteins are carriers?

The carrier proteins can be categorized as being driven by ATP, electrochemical potential, or light, depending on the source of energy.

Why is the rate of cell division in children shorter than in adults?
Nady [450]
Virchow was correct when he concluded that cells arise from others cells, i.e., new cells are born through the division of one cell into two through the process of mitosis. The need for new cells continues throughout our lives, but it is greatest in early life. A fertilized egg divides into two cells, which give rise to four, and those give rise to eight, and then to 16, and 32, and 64, and so on. In a fully grown adult, of course, the rate of cell proliferation is much less, and under normal circumstances, cell division in an adult takes place only when signals indicate the need to replace cells that have been lost, damaged, or worn out. Basically when your young so is your cell and ask you get older they get stronger
