Answer:

Issac worked 24.4 hrs, Ruby worked 31.4 hrs, and George worked 94.2 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

x= hours worked

Issac= x Ruby= (x+7) George= 3(x+7)

x+(x+7)+3(x+7) = 150 [distribute 3 to (x+7)]

x+(x+7)+(3x+21) = 150 [add from left to right]

5x+28 = 150 [subtract 28 from both sides]

5x = 122 [divide both sides by 5]

x=24.4

Now plug the x value back into Issac, Ruby, and George's equations:

Issac=x=24.4

Ruby=x+7=31.4

George=3(x+7)=94.2

Double check by adding all their work hours together

24.4+31.4+94.2=150!!

fenix001 [56]

The total distance Tracy traveled was 15,000 feet assuming each unit represents 1,000 feet.

How to calculate the total distance?

The total distance is the sum of all the distance between stops.

Partial distances:

 • Home to stop 1: 2,000 feet
 • Stop 1 to 2: 4,000 feet
 • Stop 2 to 3: 5,000 feet
 • Stop 3 to 4: 4,000 feet
 • Total distance: 15,000 feet

However, the real distance would be 10.63 units based on the locations in the grid.

 • d=√(0−8)^2+(7−0)^2
 • d=√8^2+7^2
 • d=√64+49
 • d=√113 =10.63 units
