This question is based on the following passage. Both Seagulls and wild geese are large birds. They're also similar in that both

kinds of birds can fly over great distances. On the other hand, seagulls are scavengers, while wild geese aren't. Seagulls, for example, are often found around garbage dumps. Geese, however, feed on things like seeds and insects. Another important difference between the two kinds of birds is that geese fly on long annual migrations of well over 1,000 miles. Seagulls will migrate far inland to search for food. However, they don't follow seasonal patterns of migration like wild geese. Clue words showing that contrasts are being made in this paragraph include A. and and similar. B. also and hand. C. while and however. D. both and difference.

What evidence can we use to support the claim that Kino is very cautious and careful ?
enot [183]

Answer:

We can use as evidence the fact that Kino keeps and takes care of the pearl that he believes will allow him to provide a better life for his family.

Explanation:

"The pearl" is a book that tells the story of Kino, a humble Amerindian who doesn't have enough money to take care of his family and provide a better life for them. One day his son becomes ill and the doctor refuses to help him, because Kino has no money to pay for any treatment.

Desolate, Kino ends up finding a grand and beautiful stone. He believes that the sale of this stone will allow him to have money to take care of his family and that is why he is very careful with the pearl and the guard and protects it with great zeal.

Aleks04 [339]

Answer:

The object of prepositional phrase is force.

Explanation:

Prepositional phrase is a phrase where the main word is preposition (the phrase could not function without it).

Most often the preposition is at the beginning of the phrase. It is followed by a noun or a pronoun which acts as the object of that prepositional phrase. Noun or pronoun can have a modifier which in this case is such.
