Reasons for Kennedy:
• Khrushchev was sacked as a Russian leader in 1964 and replaced by a tougher leader (like Stalin) who was called Brezhnev
• The withdrawal of the Russian missiles in Cuba made it harder for Russian to threaten the USA
• Kennedy took the whole world to the edge of nuclear war and he looked strong in the face of the Russians
• Kennedy was the one who stood up to Khrushchev and wouldn’t back down over removing the Russian missiles from Cuba
• When the Russian mistakes were removed from Cuba the USA was less vulnerable and didn’t feel threatened by Russia
• Khrushchev was forced to withdraw the Russian missiles from Cuba when they were faced with the American blockade around Cuba
Reasons for Khrushchev
• The USSR felt more safe as they succeeded into getting America to withdraw the missiles from Turkey
(tbh i feel like the USA won the Cuban Missiles Crisis since i don’t rlly have enough reasons of why the USSR won)
