Answer:

Professional gardeners often soak seeds in hydrogen peroxide before planting them in order to increase the germination percentage or to reduce germination failure. When the seeds are soaked in hydrogen peroxide, the seed coat becomes soft and enzymes present in the seed becomes active. Due to soaking of seeds, the seed takes less time to germinate. So that's why gardeners uses this method.

How does a normal person without diabetes respond to rising blood glucose levels in order to maintain homeostasis?
Llana [10]

Answer:

Together, insulin and glucagon help maintain a state called homeostasis in which conditions inside the body remain steady. When blood sugar is too high, the pancreas secretes more insulin. When blood sugar levels drop, the pancreas releases glucagon to raise them.

How are lactic acid fermentation and aerobic respiration different?
bazaltina [42]
Lactic acid fermentation occurs as an alternative to that of aerobic respiration, this occurs in cases where oxygen levels or concentrations within the cells are very low and as a result, is not available for the acceptance of electrons as the final electron acceptor. The cells undergo this process, where essentially, rather mr than using oxygen as the final electron acceptor after producing ATP. NAD+ I believe is able to accept electrons and thus we can produce ATP, again. Glycolysis occurs but rather than moving on to the next stage, Pyruvate molecules are ultimately converted to lactic acid which releases ATP, the extra electrons would go to NAD+ which is needed to keep the reactions going.

C. Provide one possible explanation for the change in bird numbers and beak characteristics.
AlladinOne [14]

Answer:

Evolution

Explanation:

If there is an environmental stressor, then animals will evolve to overcome it.

Birds may begin producing more or fewer offspring depending on how much food is available. If there is more food available, birds will have more offspring. If there is less food available, birds will produce fewer offspring.

Beak characteristics change depending on food options, mating rituals, or environment. A bird will need a narrow beak for most bugs, but it will need a wider and stronger beak for nuts and seeds. A bird's beak may also be used to help interact with its environment. For example, a woodpecker has a strong narrow beak to help it break into tree bark to eat.

kherson [118]
The change in color represent the Electron-density distribution of a 2p orbital. Electron density is the measure of the probability of an electron being present at a specific location. The electron density of a 1s orbital, on the other hand, is a maximum at the nucleus. The same diagram for the 2p density distribution is obtained for any plane which contains this axis.
