PLEASE HELP ME WILL GIVE 30 POINTS (a) Roman law has influenced the legal systems of many countries in the world. What does ‘ius
Tatiana [17]

Answer:

Explanation:

a) The term jus civile, meaning “civil law,” for example, was used in ancient Rome to distinguish the law found exclusively in the city of Rome from the jus gentium, the law of all nations, found throughout the empire.

Roman lawyers and magistrates originally devised jus gentium as a system of equity applying to cases between foreigners and Roman citizens. The concept originated in the Romans' assumption that any rule of law common to all nations must be fundamentally valid and just.

How does federalism limit the power of government in the United States?
vichka [17]

Federalism limits the power of government in the United States through the creation of two sovereign powers: the national government and state governments. In this way, it regulates the influence these have. Separation of powers establishes internal limits; it divides government against itself, giving separate functions to different branches and compelling them to share power, so neither of them becomes predominant.

By separating powers, these are split among the executive (president, vice president, Cabinet), legislative (Congress, House of Representatives and Senate), and judicial branches (Supreme Court and other courts), which are definite departments of American national government.
