Natural selection is a central concept of evolution. It's the process where organisms with favorable traits are more likely to reproduce. In doing so, they pass on these traits to the next generation. Over time, this process allows organisms to adapt to their environment. Evolution is the process by which different kinds of living organisms are thought to have developed and diversified from earlier forms during the history of the earth. The relationship between Natural selection and Evolution is evolution states that those heritable traits of a population of organisms change over time as a result of natural selection or genetic drift..natural selection is the differential survival and reproductive success of individuals in response to the environment due to differences in phenotype. Darwin's greatest contribution to science is that he completed the Copernican Revolution by drawing out for biology the notion of nature as a system of matter in motion governed by natural laws. With Darwin's discovery of natural selection, the origin and adaptations of organisms were brought into the realm of science. Darwin failed to understand the significance of these results because he had no model of particulate inheritance that could be applied to genetic data.

Describe the features of the fluid mosaic model of the cell membrane.
