Answer:

Armed insurrections against the regime lead to the overthrow and death of Moammar Gadhafi.

Explanation:

The insurrections began in 2011 and was a fight between forces loyal to Gadhafi and those who wanted to take him down of the power he held for 42 years. They began on February after the militaries shoot to a crowd that was protesting on Benghazi. It began an armed conflict between the rebels and the militaries that lead to a high number of deaths and the international condemnation of it.

On October of 2011, the rebel forces capture Gadhafi and killed him, sometime before the National Transitional Council was recognized as the legal government of Libya by the United Nations. With the murder of Gadhafi, the war was officially ended.

Why was martin Luther excommunicated and declared a heretic
alexgriva [62]

Answer:

The right choice is:

A. he encouraged Catholics to question a number of practices

of the church including the sale of indulgences.

Explanation:

Martin Luther is the father of Protestant Reformation. He was a Catholic priest and a seminar theologian in Wittenberg, Germany. In the 1510s, he went to Rome and came back shocked by the sale of indulgences and papal bulls for the forgiveness of sins. He couldn´t agree with those acts aimed at enlarging the chests of the Church. After a long reflection, he openly questioned them and the authority of the Vatican. He said that Christians could win God´s grace by faith only, not through buying indulgences, and that the Bible was the ultimate authority in religious matters. The furious reaction of the Vatican was to excommunicate him given his refusal to retract.

Why was the germantown quaker petition against slavery so significant?
prohojiy [21]

Answer:The 1688 Germantown Quaker Petition Against Slavery was the first protest against African-American slavery made by a religious body in the English colonies. Francis Daniel Pastorius authored the petition; he and three other Quakers living in Germantown, Pennsylvania (now part of Philadelphia) signed it on behalf of the Germantown Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends. Clearly a highly controversial document, Friends forwarded it up the hierarchical chain of their administrative structure--monthly, quarterly, and yearly meetings--without either approving or rejecting it. The petition effectively disappeared for 150 years into Philadelphia Yearly Meeting's capacious archives; but upon rediscovery in 1844 by Philadelphia antiquarian Nathan Kite, latter-day abolitionists published it in 1844 in The Friend

How can you participate in government even if you are not old enough to vote?
gogolik [260]

Answer:

The best and easiest way to participate in the government is to stay informed of the political climate as well as the events that are occurring in the political sphere, both within the nation, and outside. You can always participate in governmental activities by informing yourself, creating a viewpoint, and expressing your viewpoints in desired times, as well as to start shaping your outlook for when you are old enough. Information that is correct is key in allowing one to choose the best candidate when you are legally able to vote.
