Chisholm´s use of repetition draws attention to the heart of the matter she wants to point out ; discrimination for women.Discrimination is a word she repeats as she wants to show that women were considered inferior for certains posts, so inferior that the fact that they are able to become representatives in Congress needs a celebration or a great display. She is ironic in the sense that she knows women understand what she is talking about , but still uses repetition to be emphatic and to show frustration at so many years of not being recognized...." calculated system of prejudice..."..I am not stranger to prejudice.."She is persuasive because by mentioning women and their inferiority  suffered for so long , which was created for them from a men´s world, she is expressing change is at hand.

The _______ form of a verb should be used to distinguish between actions completed in the immediate past and actions completed b
pav-90 [236]
Simple past tense verbs are used for completed actions that happened before now. It's the basic form of past tense, used to say when something happened. The action is in the past, either recently or distantly. For example: "We lived in Chicago during the 1980s."

Infinitive verbs are the basic form of verbs, with the word "to" in front of it. There are no conjugations used with it (such as -ed, -ing, or -s). For example: "Sherry wanted to score more points than her brother in basketball."

Irregular verbs are those that don't use the typical -ed, -d, or -ied forms of spelling of past simple or past participles. For example: "I would like to drink more of your raspberry lemonade. I drank some yesterday and it was amazing!" (We wouldn't add an -ed to drink like most verbs to say "drinked"; instead, we would use the irregular verb drank.)

Past perfect verbs are those used for actions that were completed at some point in the past. They're used when talking about something that occurred before something else. For example: "Mark did so well on the math test because he had been tutored all month."

The best answer would be D. past perfect since you're using a verb that occurred before another action in the past.

The __________ postulates that individuals engaging in a new behavior, such as adopting a regular exercise program, move through
dlinn [17]

Answer:

The transtheoretical model of behavior change postulates that individuals engaging in a new behavior, such as adopting a regular exercise program, move through the stages of precontemplation, contemplation, preparation, action, and maintenance.

Explanation:

The transtheoretical model of behavior change was developed in 1977. It is a result of analysis and application of several psychotherapy theories - hence the name "transtheoretical". Its purpose is to assess someone's readiness to change an unhealthy behavior, trading it for a healthier one. The stages are:

1. Precontemplation

2. Contemplation

3. Preparation

4. Action

5. Maintenance

6. Termination

The stages vary from: a person not being ready to change a harmful behavior at all --> the person thinking of the possibility and beginning to admit his behavior is unhealthy --> the person taking small steps toward change and intending to do it for good --> the person modifying their behavior openly --> the person keeping the new behavior going for over six months --> the person feeling no temptation to return to the previous harmful behavior.
