Which sentences in this passage does Edgar Allan Poe use to foreshadow Fortunato’s eventual fate in his short story “The Cask of

Amontillado”?
"Drink," I said, presenting him the wine. He raised it to his lips with a leer. He paused and nodded to me familiarly, while his bells jingled. "I drink," he said, "to the buried that repose around us." "And I to your long life." He again took my arm, and we proceeded. "These vaults," he said, "are extensive." "The Montresors," I replied, "were a great and numerous family." "I forget your arms." "A huge human foot d'or, in a field azure; the foot crushes a serpent rampant whose fangs are imbedded in the heel."

What is the theme of Domination in black by Wallace Stevens?
Olenka [21]
<span>A theme Wallace Stevens goes back to over and over is that the defining factor of the world we live in isn't really the world itself, but the way we perceive it. We see the world the way we are, not the way it is.

This is the main theme in Anecdote of the Jar, and Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird; it is probably the main theme of The Blue Guitar. It is an important theme even in poems which have other main messages, including The Emperor of Ice Cream and Sunday Morning.
