I have two bags. bag 1 contains 1010 blue marbles, while bag 2 contains 1515 blue marbles. i pick one of the bags at random, and

throw 66 red marbles in it. then i shake the bag and choose 55 marbles (without replacement) at random from the bag. if there are exactly 22 red marbles among the 55 chosen marbles, what is the probability that i have chosen bag 1

55 blue or red marbles,

55-22 = 33 blue marbles

bag1+bag2= 2525

bag1=.4

33/55=.6  blue marbles

bag 2=.6

so it is 40% that U choose bag 1

Use the number line below to find a fraction that is equivalent to 1/2
Yuliya22 [10]

Answer:

4/8

Step-by-step explanation:

There are an infinite number of fractions equal to 1/2, but the number line in the question has 8 spaces, and shows 1 divided into 8 pieces. Therefore, the answer to this question is likely 4/8.

(may I ask why exactly this is put as a college level problem?)

<h3>Answer: Choice D</h3><h3>m = n</h3><h3>b = sqrt(pi)*a</h3>

=====================================================

Explanation:

Each circle has a radius of 'a'. So r = a.

The area of each circle is pi*r^2 = pi*a^2

The area of each square with side length b is b^2

The two stacks have the same volume only when the circle area is equal to the square area, so whenever pi*a^2 = b^2 is true.

Solving for b leads to b = sqrt(pi*a^2) = sqrt(pi)*a

The stacks must also be the same height for the volumes to be the same, so m = n as well.

1. The midpoint of GH is (-2,3), and its endpoints are G (g,4) and H (-2,h). What are the values of g and h
alina1380 [7]

Answer:(g,h)=(-2,2)

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Midpoint is (-2,3)

Endpoints are G(g,4) and H(-2,h)

Mid point of any two point is given by

x=\frac{x_1+x_2}{2}

and y=\frac{y_1+y_2}{2}

So,-2=\frac{g+(-2)}{2}

-4=g-2

g=-2

Also

3=\frac{4+h}{2}

6=4+h

h=2

Therefore (g,h)=(-2,2)

What is HL???<br><br> HL=__<br><br> Image Below
Advocard [28]

Consider a trapezoid GJKF with:

GH=JH (hypothesis)

FL=KL (hypothesis)

so HL is the median of trapezoid GJKF

so: HL=1/2(2.5+1.2)=1.85
