The right answers are mentionned in the picture:

Doppler effect

The Doppler effect, or Doppler-Fizeau effect, is the frequency shift of a wave (mechanical, acoustic, electromagnetic or of another nature) observed between the measurements at transmission and at reception, when the distance between the transmitter and receiver vary over time. If one generally designates this physical phenomenon under the name of Doppler effect, the name of "Doppler-Fizeau effect" is reserved for the electromagnetic waves.

Cosmic microwave background radiation.

Cosmic rays are very fast charged particles from the interstellar medium. These particles are mainly protons (85%), helium nuclei (14%), electrons (1%) and other atomic nuclei.

Their energy is typically 1 GeV (the energy that would have an electron accelerated by a voltage of a billion Volts), but it sometimes rises to 10 power 11 GeV. These particles may have been accelerated during Supernova explosions. The Sun also emits particles of high energy, but generally much lower than GeV.

Particle accelerators:

A particle accelerator is an instrument that uses electric or magnetic fields to drive electrically charged particles at high speeds. In other words, it communicates energy to the particles. There are two main categories: linear accelerators and circular accelerators. Numerous small linear accelerators are used in medicine (anti-tumor radiotherapy).

Big Bang Theory:

The Big Bang is a scientific theory that tries to explain the first moments of the Universe. This is the beginning of the expansion of the Universe, about 13.7 billion years ago, when the Universe was extremely dense and hot.

This is not the beginning of the Universe as we often say, because we do not know what was before (or even if there was a before). The Big Bang is a scientific theory partly confirmed by certain astronomical observations. If we know that the universe was initially hot and very dense, the theory does not say what is at the origin of the Big Bang. It is therefore different from the creation of the world (religious hypothesis).

In vertebrates, which of the following frequently serves as the first intermediary between the areas of the brain that perceive
Ksju [112]

Answer:

The correct option is A) the hypothalamus

Explanation:

The hypothalamus is a part of the diencephalon located below the thalamus and formed by several nuclei of neurons with their associated nerve fibers, many of them neurosecretory nature, that is, to the hypothalamus, afferent and efferent pathways arrive and depart respectively, which connect it with different regions of the brain and outside it, receives signals from internal sensory receptors and, in response, sends orders through pathways in which very few synapses intervene to quickly generate regulatory responses, for this reason, the hypothalamus is considered the center of neuroendocrine, autonomous and homeostatic regulation, which acts as an integrating center coordinating environmental messages, rhythms, endogenous development patterns, emotions and body signals, to finally produce, in an integrated way, early autonomous responses and relatively late endocrine responses.

How did Darwin arrive at the idea about species variation
jeyben [28]

Answer:

We can see some of the most important patterns Darwin noticed in distribution of organisms by looking at his observations of the Galápagos Islands off the coast of Ecuador. Darwin found that nearby islands in the Galápagos had similar but nonidentical species of finches living on them.

In the year 2500, five male space colonists and five female space colonists (all unrelated to each other) settle on an uninhabit
liq [111]

Answer:

A) 0.1 a, 0.9 A

Explanation:

According to the given information, all the individuals in the founder population had free earlobes. Since the allele for the free earlobes (A) is dominant over the one for the attached earlobes (a), the genotype of each of the homozygous dominant founder individual would be "AA". Humans are diploid and one individual has two alleles for each gene in its genome. Total number of alleles for the earlobe in the founder population = 10 x 2 = 20.

Frequency of dominant allele, A in the founder population = total number of homozygous dominant individuals x 2 + the total number of heterozygous genotype / total alleles for the earlobe in the population. There were 8 homozygous dominant and 2 heterozygous dominant individuals in the population.

So, frequency of dominant allele = 8 x 2 + 2 / 20 = 16 + 2 / 20 = 18/20 = 0.9

Since p+q=1; frequency of recessive allele "a" = 1-p = 1-0.9 = 0.1
