The additional number of units babymart needs to sell to maintain the same level of income is 25 units.

  • The fixed cost = $50,000 - $5,000 = $45,000
  • The total revenue = $315
  • The variable cost = $115
  • Let X represents the additional number of unit

Further Explanation

Therefore,

The total revenue = $115 × x

The variable cost = $ 315 × X

To determine the Net income, we have to subtract the total revenues from the total expenses. This can be expressed as:

Net income = Total revenue – Total expenses

If we substitute the above value, then we have

Recall, net income = 40,000, therefore we have:

40,000 = (315 × x) – 45,000 – (115X)

40,000 + 45,000 = (315 × X) (115 × X)

85,000 = (315x) – (115x)

85000 = 200X (divide both side by 200)

85,000 / 200 = 200X / 200

425 = X

X = 425

Therefore, we have to subtract the derived value from the monthly sale (400) cribs

Thus, 425 – 400

= 25.

Therefore, the additional number of units babymart needs to sell to maintain the same level of income is 25 units.

Let the additional number of units, babymart need to sell be x, then

Revenue = $315(400 + x)

New fixed cost = $50,000 - $5,000 = $45,000

Thus, Total cost = $115(400 + x) + $45,000

Net income = Revenue - Total cost = 315(400 + x) - 115(400 + x) - 45,000 = 40,000

⇒ 200(400 + x) = 40,000 + 45,000
⇒ 80,000 + 200x = 85,000
⇒ 200x = 85,000 - 80,000 = 5,000
⇒ x = 5,000 / 200 = 25

Therefore, the additional number of units babymart needs to sell to maintain the same level of income is 25 units.

Suppose that after controlling for age and education, it is found that the average woman earns $0.80 for every $1.00 earned by t
ad-work [718]

Answer:

Consider the following explanations

Explanation:

a. The whole argument is based on the controlling of different factors such as age, education and occupation among males and females. Now, this is very subjective how they have controlled occupation. For e.g. – Which all occupation they have considered for as stressful job, which all jobs they have considered as physical tiring jobs. Working in a refinery may be physical tiring job but then working in IT Company can also be tiring.

Therefore since there are lot of factors at play apart the one considered to calculate ratio’s we can say that these differential percentage points can always be more than or less than of what presented in question.

b. The same logic has to be applied to (b) as well. When we say that discrimination account for less than 8 percent of differential we implied to say that occupation nature may have more than 12 percent of differential. Now, if you use above logic and applied from occupation point of view.

wariber [46]

Answer:

$18.15

Explanation:

Activity based costing is a costing techniques used to assign cost in management account to the various units of a company the estimated activity level in the departments as a basis for cost apportionment or allocation.

Given that

Cost Pool Total Cost Product A Product B Total Activity

Activity 1 $ 18,000 700 300 1,000

Activity 2 $ 24,000 500 100 600

Activity 3 $ 60,000 800 400 1,200

The total cost for product A

= 700/1000 * $18,000 + 500/600 * $24,000 + 800/1200 * $60000

= $12,600 + $20,000 + 40,000

= $72,600

Total units for A = 4000 units

cost per unit of Product A is closest to

= $72,600/4000

= $18.15

Explanation:

The computation of the total amount paid to preferred shareholders are shown below:

= Number of shares for preferred stock × par value × dividend rate × number of years

= 1,200 shares × $100 × 12% × 4 years

= $57,600

In case of cumulative, the number of years would be four years for dividend paid

Explain five importance of a division of labour in production
bearhunter [10]

Explanation:

INNOVATION: When workers are set specific tasks, that is their pure focus. So it becomes easier to see pitfalls in the existing process. Doing the same task each day makes it easier to analyse areas for improvement. It takes up more of the brains processing power, so it is at the forefront of a workers mind.

HIGHER WAGES: It must be said that not all the productivity gains are necessarily passed on to the consumer. A proportion may go to profits, whilst some may go to higher pay for employees.

CHEAPER PRODUCTS: It must be said that not all the productivity gains are necessarily passed on to the consumer. A proportion may go to profits, whilst some may go to higher pay for employees.

PRODUCTIVITY: When workers focus solely on a specific task, they can master it quicker and more efficiently. In turn, workers become more productive.

EFFICIENT MASTERY: Without the division of labor, mastery of a skill takes much longer. This is because a workers attention is spread across many areas.

For instance, it would be difficult to master a language if you are also trying to learn the piano, engineering, CSS, and economics. So, the division of labor allows the worker to focus and master a specific part of the process, which helps them learn it faster.

Ivanhoe Company purchased $1600000 of 10% bonds of Scott Company on January 1, 2021, paying $1506375. The bonds mature January 1
zlopas [31]

Answer:

The increase in debt investments is $2,850.63

Explanation:

The company would increase its debt investment by the difference between the interest revenue and the coupon payment made by Scott Company.

The interest revenue is calculated by multiplying the semi-annual effective yield by the carrying value of the investments which is $1,506,375.

The face value of the bond of $1600,000 is multiplied by the semi-annual coupon rate

Increase in investment=($1506375*11%/2)-($1,600,000*10%/2)=$2,850.63
