Answer:

The Area of Δ DFG is 175 cm²

The Area of Δ ABC is 252 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The Δ ABC is similar to the Δ DFG

The area of the triangle ABC is greater than the area of the triangle DFG by 77 cm²

Let The area of  Δ DFG = x cm²

So, The area of  Δ ABC = ( 77 + x ) cm²

The ratio of corresponding sides of  Δ ABC and  Δ DEF = 6 : 5

Let The side AB = 6 y

And The side DE = 5 y

Now,<u> from The property of similar Triangles</u>

\dfrac{area ABC}{area DFG}=\dfrac{AB^{2} }{DE^{2} }

I.e \dfrac{77+x}{x} = \dfrac{(6 y)^{2} }{(5y)^{2} }

Or, \dfrac{77+x}{x} = \dfrac{36}{25}

Or, 25 × (77 + x ) = 36 x

Or,  25 × 77 + 25 x = 36 x

Or,  25 × 77 = 36 x - 25 x

Or, 11 x =  25 × 77

∴  x = \frac{25\times 77}{11}

I.e x = 175 cm²

So,The Area of Δ DFG = x  = 175 cm²

And The Area of Δ ABC = x + 77  = 175 + 77  = 252 cm²

Hence, The Area of Δ DFG is 175 cm²

And The Area of Δ ABC is 252 cm²    Answer

A quadratic function and an exponential function are graphed below. How do the decay rates of the functions compareover the inte
Kobotan [32]

To check the decay rate, we need to check the variation in y-axis.

Since our interval is

-2We need to evaluate both function at those limits.At x = -2, we have a value of 4 for both of them, at x = 0 we have 1 for the exponential function and 0 to the quadratic function. Let's call the exponential f(x), and the quadratic g(x).[tex]\begin{gathered} f(-2)=g(-2)=4 \\ f(0)=1 \\ g(0)=0 \end{gathered}

To compare the decay rates we need to check the variation on the y-axis of both functions.

\begin{gathered} \Delta y_1=f(-2)-f(0)=4-1=3 \\ \Delta y_2=g(-2)-g(0)=4-0=4 \end{gathered}

Now, we calculate their ratio to find how they compare:

\frac{\Delta y_1}{\Delta y_2}=\frac{3}{4}

This tell us that the exponential function decays at three-fourths the rate of the quadratic function.

And this is the fourth option.

What is the equation in slope-intercept form of the linear function represented by the table? x y –6 –18 –1 –8 4 2 9 12 y = nega
svetoff [14.1K]

Answer:

y = 2 x minus 6

Step-by-step explanation:

(-6,-18) and (-1,-8)

Slope: (-8 - -18)/(-1 - -6)

10/5

2

y = 2x + c

-8 = 2(-1) + c

-8 = -2 + c

c = -6

y = 2x - 6

y = 2x - 4

Divide 56 in a ratio of 5.3
Varvara68 [4.7K]
In order to find what one part is in a ratio, you have to add the ratio up ( 5+ 3) and divide it by the number you're looking for (56). In this case, you get 56/8, which gives you 7. Therefore, each part is worth 7. You then have to multiply both sides of the ratio (5 and 3) by 7. 5x7= 35. 3x7= 21. Therefore, 56 divided into the ratio of 5:3 is 35:21
