Two angles are supplementary if their sun is 180 degrees. The larger angle measures four degrees more than ten times the measure

of a smaller angle. If x represents the measure of the smaller angle and these two angles are supplementary, find the measure of each angle.

Step-by-step explanation:

x + (10x + 4) = 180

11 x + 4 = 180

11 x = 176

x = 16 degrees

therefore

smaller angle = 16 degrees

Larger angle = 10(16) + 4

= 164 degrees

What is one thousand five hundred divided by five equal
Vikki [24]

Answer: 300

We know that 5×3=15. Since we are trying to get 1500 we Multiply 300×5 and get 1500.

<u>How do we know?</u>

  • As you can see if you cross out 2 of the 0 in 300 you have 3×5. When you multiply it you get 15.
  • Also if you cross out 1 of the 0 in 300 you have 30×5. When you multiply that you get 150.

As you see when you still multiply either of those problems you have 15 in it. So we should know 300×5=1500.

Note: We can also multiply 500×3 and get 1500. You still get the same answer but just switched numbers.

determine weather y varies directly with x. if so, find the constant variation and write the equation
REY [17]

Answer:

Yes, k = 1/3 and y = 1/3x

Step-by-step explanation:

\text{The given line passes through the origin, hence it has equation of the form:}\\y=kx

\text{Therefore y varies directly as x.}The line passes through the point (3,1)}

\text{This implies that,}

1=k(3)\\k=\frac{1}{3}\text{Hence the constant of variation is} ⇒ \frac{1}{3}

The equation would be ⇒ y=\frac{1}{3} x
