I kissed my grandmother goodbye. I promise i would visit soon. Which sentence using a present participle?
coldgirl [10]
THe second sentence is using present participle because you said " I promise" not "promised". Saying promise is when you are saying it at the time and saying promised means you've already said it. Like with how you said "kissed" instead of "kiss" in the first sentence.

Read the excerpt from Woman in the Nineteenth Century by Margaret Fuller. Yet, then and only then will mankind be ripe for this,
Natalka [10]

by insisting that everyone with a soul deserves rights

In the excerpt she says that "if the negro be a soul, if the woman be a soul...to one Master only are they accountable." Throughout the passage, Fuller uses various ways to insist that everyone deserves rights. She strengthens her arguments by comparing women's rights to those of the negro. She uses her arguments to show that if an African American should not be held in bondage, neither should a woman. It doesn't matter your race or gender, if you have a soul, you deserve the same rights as everyone else.

Marina CMI [18]

Answer:

C. Alliteration

Explanation:

  • Alliteration is the repetition of usually initial consonant sounds in two or more neighboring words or syllables (such as wild and woolly, threatening throngs)

So the alliteration in the sentence "As boys, Brecca and I had boasted." would be the constant repetition of the B sound.

B words: boys, Brecca, boasted.

Hope this helps!
