Answer;

C. Aerobic respiration and fermentation

Explanation;

 • Glycolysis is the process by which glucose is broken down through various enzyme catalyzed reactions two yield two pyruvate molecules and a net energy of two ATP molecules.
 • It is the first stage of both fermentation and aerobic respiration. Fermentation occurs in absence of oxygen gas and starts with glycolysis which results into two molecules of pyruvate which are then converted to lactic acid.
 • In aerobic respiration which occurs in presence of oxygen gas, glycolysis is the first phase which is then followed by Kreb's cycle and the electron transport chain. All these phases enhance generation of energy in the form of ATP which is then stored or used by the cells to drive cellular processes.

A factory located near the top of a hill leaks chemicals into the groundwater. How could this leakage affect the groundwater at
dybincka [34]

Answer:

Explanation: ground water contamination is nearly

always the result of human activity. In

areas where population density is high and human

use of the land is intensive, ground water is especially vulnerable. Virtually any activity whereby

chemicals or wastes may be released to the environment, either intentionally or accidentally, has

the potential to pollute ground water. When

ground water becomes contaminated, it is difficult

and expensive to clean up.

To begin to address pollution prevention or remediation, we must understand how surface waters

and ground waters interrelate.

Which of the following is NOT true about ATP?
GaryK [48]
A option i.e; glucose breaks down into ATP without any initial energy input. (It just spontaneously happens) does not make sense to make while all other are correct. So, the best option will be the A. because A option is not true about ATP.

________ are toxic proteins released from the pathogen during normal growth. ________ are toxic proteins released from the patho
svetoff [14.1K]
The correct answer is exotoxins.
Exotoxins are molecules produced by certain species of pathogenic bacteria, usually during their normal growth and metabolism. They are produced inside the cell and released into the environment which is the main difference between those toxins and endotoxins (part of the cell wall in some bacteria). An exotoxin can disrupt the normal cellular metabolism of the host or can even destroy host's cells.

slamgirl [31]

Answer:

Explanation:

English-The geocentric model says that the earth is at the center of the cosmos or universe, and the planets, the sun and the moon, and the stars circles around it. The early heliocentric models consider the sun as the center, and the planets revolve around the sun.
