Place the events related to the iranian revolution in chronological order
chubhunter [2.5K]

Answer:

The correct chronological order of the events is as followed:

  • The Shah developed Western Policies.
  • Citizens of Iran protested the Government.
  • Ayatollah Khomeini came to power.
  • Traditional laws were reinstated.

Explanation:

  1. <em>Since</em> the Shah of Iran was a close associate of West, he admired the culture of the west. So his significant policies were motivated by the West. He once even asked King of Saudi to Westernize Saudi Arabia, that's how much he loved the culture of the west.
  2. <em>Demonstration</em> against the Government started in <em>October 1977</em>, because the policies were in favor of the West more than it's own citizens. Hence, working-class began protesting, there was also the issue of high unemployment, and the only work Irani's had was of laboring in the companies of the West. Further, the clerics were ignited by Shah's tactics of playing dirty campaign against the Grand Ayatollah Khomeini.
  3. Looking at the mess when Shah realized that the protest is out of control he left Iran on <em>16th Jan 1979</em> and in the meantime, the Great Ayatollah arrived Iran on <em>1st Feb 1979</em> and took the power.
  4. Right after forming the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah retained old civil laws and imposed more sharia laws.

Rory visits South America, and while he explores the cities he visits, he watches the locals and notices differences between the
mr Goodwill [35]

Answer:

Rory is following the “<u>zoo</u> approach” to intercultural encounters.

Explanation:

When using the "zoo approach" to interact with a different culture, the individual observes this new culture the same way they would observe animals in a zoo; everything is exotic, foreign, different, and the humans at the other side of the cage are normal and free while the animals are the ones who are locked in their ways. However, even though this approach can sometimes be positive and teach interesting information, it is a limited perspective.

Quoting the book "<em>Ethics in intercultural and international Communication</em>", by Fred L. Casmir: "<em>One may discover amazing, interesting and valuable information by using such a perspective and even develop a real fondness for those exotic people, but miss the point that we are as culturally "caged" as others and that they are culturally as "free" as we are.</em>"

As far as i understand it can be any random person. At least explain what each question is asking for or what it means
nasty-shy [4]

For question 1 they are just asking to describe how the person looks. For example if I were describe Elsa I would say: She has <u>bleach blonde hair</u> that is in a French braid. She <u>wears a elegant light blue dress</u> that flows each step she takes. They want you to also underline the details.

For question 2 they want you to describe the person using the five senses. For example: <u>Her skin is cold like winter but smooth</u>. Her hair is soft and is has waves like the ocean. They want you to underline one sense and bold the other.

For question 3 they want you to use a metaphor to describe the person and/or compare them to something. For example: She is like a storm in the winter, cold, <u>reckless</u>, and <u>never gives up</u>. They want you to also underline the comparison.

For question 4 they want you to write an alliteration for this person. For example: <u>S</u>he <u>s</u>ings, the <u>s</u>ound of her voice <u>s</u>preads, <u>s</u>o <u>s</u>oft, <u>s</u>o <u>s</u>weet, oh <u>s</u>o lovely. Also underline the letter that form the alliterative.

For question 5 they want you to write a three-sentence paragraph, so a paragraph with three sentences describing the person. You do have to make sure it has a little rhythm to it, like a poem. For example: Blonde hair, blue eyes, recklessness seems to live inside. Sweet voice spreads wild, confidence she wears like a dress. Cold skin but soft to the touch, her love is oh so much.

There you go! I really hope this helps! ;)))
