The Missouri compromise wanted to extend slavery into other states. Congress accepted Missouri as a slave state and also admitted Maine as a free state. By 1819, the United States was formed by twenty two states that were evenly divided between slave and free. The admission of Missouri as a slave state would upset the balance. And when it was being organized as a territory, representatives of New York proposed a law that would have ended slavery there but it was denied, similar as happened in the Arkansas territory.

Answer:

The Emancipation Proclamation granted freedom to the slaves in the Confederate States, if the States did not return to the Union by January 1, 1863. Do to this proclamation, the slaves could be freed, but only if they won the war. However, in a way the Emancipation Proclamation changed the meaning and purpose of the war. The war was no longer just about preserving the Union, it was also about giving the slaves a chance to be free and live somewhat normal lives. Unfortunately, Britain and France lost their keenness for supporting the Confederacy. The Emancipation Proclamation changed the course of the war because slave will desire to fight for the north once they are liberated and England and France will no longer help the south in the war because they want slavery.

Which of these documents do you believe is the most reliable source of
Maksim231197 [3]

The most reliable resources are the primary resources that were written or produced by a person who lived through the event

The Middle Passage is a term to refer to the stage of triangular commerce. This route had three stops that were:

  • Ships left Europe for African markets with manufactured products, which were exchanged for African slaves that were brought to America.
  • Once in America, slaves were traded or sold for natural resources and raw materials.
  • The last stage of the route was to bring raw materials and natural resources to Europe to make new objects.

Important aspects to know about the operation of these routes were the diaries or chronicles written by the navigators that served as primary sources of information on this subject.

Another primary source is the official documents of the ports from which the ships left, where the trips and their purposes were recorded. Also, the narratives or written records of slaves that were brought to America during this time are a reliable source of information.

Additionally, there are secondary and tertiary information sources that allow us to know this time from the point of view of a historian or other specialist based on the interpretation and analysis of documents and primary sources.

Note: This question is incomplete because the options are missing. However, it can be answered based on my knowledge.

Why have some countries provided incentives for families to send their girls to school?
NeX [460]
That is because in many societies worldwide, families still don't want to send girls to schools because they don't think that it's a place where girls should go. Governments try to fight this with various incentives but often the cultural tradition is stronger than these incentives and this creates a society not based on equality. This is relatively common in underdeveloped countries.
