Nowadays, it remains possible to exercise such control over population. This might be accomplished by exercising control over information.

Any organization that controls media has power over what people do and how they perceive and think about the world they live in, since they can easily manipulate the information people receive.

By manipulating this information, governments and institutions can gain power that results in control of everything that is being thought, said and done, and thus, they can manipulate past events as well as future events moved by their own individual interests, especially economic interests.

Which question can help a writer analyze a prompt and develop a claim for an argumentative essay?
Mrac [35]

The answer is Why will I be writing?

Explanation:

One of the most important elements in writing is the purpose of writing or why the writer writes. This element influences the claim or thesis statement in the text. For example, if the purpose is to persuade, the claim should support a specific point of view.

Moreover, the purpose is related to the prompt (instructions for writing) because by analyzing the purpose (persuade, explain, describe, etc), it is possible to understand how to write a text according to the prompt. In this context, why will I be writing? is the question that helps understand the prompt and develop a claim.
