Humanism increased individualism by providing an atmosphere for the growth of individualism.

Explanation:

Humanism is the belief that humans are the centre of attention and not God or Faith. Renaissance celebrated the idea of humanism and gave importance to humans and not God. Renaissance leaders were therefore called humanists.

Individualism developed from humanism. It is the belief that individuals are capable of great achievements. Rise of individualism made people change their communal mentality and believe in the power of individuals.
