Answer:- A is the right answer .

Probability that the first student chosen is a senior and the second student chosen is a sophomore=\frac{11}{320}

Explanation:-

According to the given table,

Total students=31+10+17+22= 80

Number of senior students = 22

Let A be the event 1 of choosing first student a senior

Then Probability of choosing first student a senior P(A) =\frac{number\ of\ senior\ students}{total\ students}=\frac{22}{80}=\frac{11}{40}

Now, Number of sophomores = 10

Let B be the event 2 of choosing second student a sophomore after replacing first student.

Then Probability of choosing second student a sophomore P(B)=\frac{number\ of\ sophomores}{total\ students}=\frac{10}{80}=\frac{1}{8}

As it is an independent event, then probability that the first student chosen is a senior and the second student chosen is a sophomore=P(A)×P(B)=\frac{11}{40}\times\frac{1}{8}=\frac{11}{320}

If second and third hypotheses were formulated for the relationship between temperature and the pressure of a gas and are tested
Elis [28]

Answer:

working hypothesis.

Step-by-step explanation:

Hypothesis is a technique in mathematics used to identify between two events. The event is tested for hypothesis using the null hypothesis and an alternative hypothesis is set to compare the results. If there are more than one hypothesis then there is working hypothesis technique used to identify the conclusion.

Inessa05 [86]

Answer:

It takes 5 days to process an application.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that number of requests per month would be equal 1600

Now, the applications in hand would be:

160 + 240 = 400

They tell us that everything must be in a number of 20 business days, therefore, the number of applications in one day would be:

1600/20 = 80

Which means that the time needed to finish an application is:

400/80 = 5 days

It takes 5 days to process an application.
