Acids and bases are important in living things because most enzymes can do their job only at a certain level of acidity. Cells secrete acids and bases to maintain the proper pH for enzymes to work. For example, every time you digest food, acids and bases are at work in your digestive system.

Drinking water is water that have been adjudged as being safe for consumption. In my area, drinking water is obtained via a tap from ground water.

I live in an area where water resources is abundant. My area is  relatively humid. In my area, people can se water freely. However, in an area where water resources is scarce, people will have to use water with a greater degree of caution.
