So lets just simplify them first
1 batch = 2 3/4 so...
11/4 cups

and you need to make 3  1/2 batch so..
7/2 batch

then you just multiply it...
11/4 x 7/2 
=77/8 
=9 5/8

so you will need 9 5/8 cups
