5 percent of 2700 is 135 so the answer is $2700

$2700

I know $135 is 5%, so $270 is 10% (because 5% + 5% = 10%). If you know what 10% of an amount is, you can just multiply that number by 10 to get to 100%. 270x10=2700

Another way to do this would be to say an unknown number, x, times 5% (0.05) equals $135. That equation would be 0.05x=135. Divide each side by 0.05 to get x = 2700

I hope this helps!

Sharon wants to make a graph to show the realationship between the number of tickets sold and the price of tickets sold
Anna35 [415]
Given:
Let x be the number of tickets sold
Let y be the price of tickets sold

(0,0)(1,20)(2,40)(3,60)(4,80)

These points show that 1 ticket costs 20.

y = 20x

y = 20(0) = 0
y = 20(1) = 20
y = 20(2) = 40
y = 20(3) = 60
y = 20(4) = 80

The price of tickets sold is in direct variation to the number of tickets sold. This means that the increase in the number of tickets sold will correspond to an increase in the price of tickets sold at a constant rate of variation.
