Actually the voting takes place after 41 days of the main or popular election that is held. It does not matter in any way if that is a Monday or a Wednesday. It would be completely wrong to think that the Electoral College is a place, but actually it is a compromising process in regards to Presidential election that takes into account the voting by the Congress and the voting made by the educated citizens.
