I have to write a 600 word short story. This is what I have so far. Can someone help me with what else i might be able to add? I

t is only about 200 words right now.
Sally's first night working at the hotel has been pretty strange. She stepped into a room to change the blue bedsheets and found that they had been splattered with a red liquid. "Blood!" she said outloud to herself. She ran out of the room to go down to the lobby to explain to the manager, Bob, about what she had found. As she was running, she was stopped by a tall, thin woman. The woman asked where she was going, and after Sally explained, the woman asked her to follow her. Sally agreed to go with her.
As they were walking up a large staircase, Sally asked where they were going. The woman aggressively told her to stay quiet. When they eventually reached a large room, Sally observed black and white baggy curtains on the many windows. The woman told her to wait in the room, and then left.
After waiting in the large, dull room for a few hours, Sally decided to leave. As Sally headed for the door, she heard a loud bang. As she heard this, she ran for the door and down the stairs.

Very interesting! Here's an idea. Since you have only about 200 words right now and 400 words left, try adding a bit more to the beginning of the story - it will give more of a thrill, instead of jumping right into strange behavior. A little trick to add in more words is to use even MORE descriptive language - But you've done well already.

You can use inspiration from short thriller stories online or from a library- im sure you'll be able to find something. also think about the ending - will it be a good ending, or a bad ending? If you have, i'm sure you'll do great.

This probably isnt much help, sorry :)

Which statement best describes the theme of this stanza?
Airida [17]

This particular excerpt makes part of the bigger poem "The Tide Rises, The Tide Falls", written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow between 1807 and 1822. In essence, this particular poem makes reference to the process of life, death and rebirth, through the image of the ocean, its movements, its activities and its effects on life. The poem is short, only three stanzas long, and most of it shows the sadness of life as it comes and then ebbs away, marking with it the time limitation on life.

In this particular excerpt of the poem, Longfellow is making reference to how natural events, like the flow of the sea, affect human beings, their lives, and links the two things, human life, and nature, by giving an almost human characteristic to the ebb and flow of the sea. This is why, the correct answer here is B: Human beings are challenged by events in the natural world.

How does a texts pattern of organization contribute to central idea development?
nataly862011 [7]
Because the organization depends on how you will be making the essay because if you did order of importance than your central idea would most likely be developed in the beginning, but if it was like order of like same and difference then the central idea would be tough to put in you would have to put the central idea at the end to clarify why you did the order of same and difference.
