heredity is when a certain trait is passed down from human to there children or how animals have offspring and raise them. it works the same for any speciesis including humans. for example if your mother has blue eyes and your father brown you may get one of theirs or you may get a mix of their colors and you may even get your grandparents eye colors. same with mice it may be two brown mice and most likely they would produce brown offspring

another example for humans is my parents both hve dark hair but my dad had blone hair when he was younger and so did his mom so i ended up getting a mix of blonde hair with brown! hope this helps!!

Heredity, is basically the passing on of genetic traits from parents to offspring’s. We can inherit a lot from our parents like hair, eye color, height but we can’t inherit everything. Inheritance follows a particular pattern.

Chromosomes that are form our DNA takes in order to get passed on from parent to child. Gene is a section of DNA that is in a specific location on a chromosome that contains information that determines a trait. Mice fed high fat diets and the changes in the chemical flags on their DNA, but female children of these obese mice will inherit and will end up to be around 20% fat than the skinny mice. In another example to explain how heredity works in mice is that male mice which are trained to fear a fruity odor passed sensitivity of this smell on to their children and even can be passed on to their grandchildren  as well.
