Aye, we don't have any options, article, book or anything to know what and when we are writing about. I will do my best though.
Patriotism. What the heck is it:
Patriotism is supporting one(s) country. If you are from France you would be a patriot and support France. If you are from America you would support America. Your just standing up for and supporting your country / where you live.
How does / can it get out of hand:
If someone from one county or place runs into a person from another county or place, then things could get ugly. (Not physically run into, but figuratively.) Those two people could get into an argument about who's country is better, politics, who runs / leads them better and who is more successful.
Hope that made sense (I don'e really know what I wrote down)

These changes impacted the way we teach and see history for years to come. In events such as the Murder of Nanking (committed by Japan), the horrors committed in the Polish termination camp (Auschwitz), and the Holocaust Twin experiment, many people were murdered and faced many cruelties. Now we study the works of Hitler, Stalin, and many others like them with caution. Though some people still believe that what Hitler did was correct (neo-nazis) or that the entire holocaust was completely made up (this is a false statement), it was a real event and had cause many people pain, and lots of people lost loved ones.
