Why living during the Middle Ages would be horrible and fantastic
Lostsunrise [7]

Answer:During the High Middle Ages, the population of Europe grew from 35 to 80 million between 1000 and 1347, probably due to improved agricultural techniques and a more mild climate.

90% of the European population remained rural peasants gathered into small communities of manors or villages.

Towns grew up around castles and were often fortified by walls in response to disorder and raids.

Daily life for peasants consisted of working the land. Life was harsh, with a limited diet and little comfort.

Women were subordinate to men, in both the peasant and noble classes, and were expected to ensure the smooth running of the household.

Children had a 50% survival rate beyond age one, and began to contribute to family life around age twelve.

How did Captain James Cook die?
stich3 [128]
The Hawaiians greeted Cook and his men by hurling rocks; they then stole a small cutter vessel from the Discovery. Negotiations with King Kalaniopuu for the return of the cutter collapsed after a lesser Hawaiian chief was shot to death and a mob of Hawaiians descended on Cook’s party. The captain and his men fired on the angry Hawaiians, but they were soon overwhelmed, and only a few managed to escape to the safety of the Resolution. Captain Cook himself was killed by the mob. A few days later, the Englishmen retaliated by firing their cannons and muskets at the shore, killing some 30 Hawaiians. The Resolution and Discoveryeventually returned to England.
