9) find the area of the actual garden by doing 12x14, then do the water pond and since it's a square do 4x4. Then subtract the area of the pond from the garden to find your answer

10) I would do 150 divided by 6 (so the total surface area divided by the number of sides) and got 25. So 25 would be the area of one side of the cube. To find a side length take the square root of the area and your answer will be 5

natulia [17]
I guess in this equation we are assuming you are changing flights. So you would add 137.50+92.50+162.50 which equals  $392.50

What is the equation of the line that passes through (-3,-1 ) and has a slope of 3/5
vfiekz [6]

The point-slope form:

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

We have the point (-3, -1) and the slope m = 3/5. Substitute:

y-(-1)=\dfrac{3}{5}(x-(-3))\\\\y+1=\dfrac{3}{5}(x+3)\qquad\text{use distributive property}\\\\y+1=\dfrac{3}{5}x+\dfrac{9}{5}\qqua\text{subtract 1 from both sides}\\\\y=\dfrac{3}{5}x+\dfrac{4}{5}\qquad\text{multiply both sides by 5}\\\\5y=3x+4\qquad\text{subtract 3x from both sides}\\\\-3x+5y=4\qquad\text{change the signs}\\\\3x-5y=-4

Answer:

point-slope form: y + 1 = 3/5(x + 3)

slope-intercept form: y = 3/5x + 4/5

standard form: 3x - 5y = -4
