I think the answer is Aluminium is oxidized from 0 to +3. A half reaction is a reduction or oxidation reaction component of a redox reaction. It is got by considering the change in oxidation states of independent substances involved in a redox reaction.

What atomic or hybrid orbitals make up the bond between c2 and o in acetaldehyde, ch3cho?
SSSSS [86.1K]

Acetaldehyde is an organic compound (a compound containing C atoms) composed of a carbonyl group. On the other hand, a carbonyl group is a functional group containing C = O. The hybrid orbitals of a compound determines the number pi and s orbitals in the electronic configuration. For a single bond, there are two s orbitals. For double bonds, on the other hand, the number of s orbital bond is 1 while the number of pi bonds is 2. For triple bonds, there are three pi bonds present in the cloud.

Thus for a c = O bond, the atomic orbital configuration is sp3 containing 1 s orbital and 2 pi bonds.

A sample of gas has a mass of 38.8 mg. Its volume is 224 mL at a temperature of 55 °C and a pressure of 886 torr. Find the molar
Pie

Answer:

4g/mol

Explanation:

Firstly, we can get the number of moles of the gas present using the ideal gas equation.

PV = nRT

Here:

P = 886 torr

V = 224ml = 224/1000 = 0.224L

T = 55 degrees celcius= 55+ 273.15 = 328.15K

R = molar gas constant = 62.36 L⋅Torr⋅K−1⋅mol−1

n = PV/RT

n = (886 * 0.224)/(62.36 * 328.15)

n = 0.009698469964 mole

Now to get the molar mass, this is mathematically equal to the mass divided by the number of moles. We have the mass and the number of moles, remaining only the molar mass.

First, we convert the mass to g and that is 38.8/1000 = 0.0388

The molar mass is thus 0.0388/0.009698469964 = 4g/mol

Suppose water contained some harmful volatile substance. How could you easily remove the volatile substance in a laboratory?
kari74 [83]
Well, you could use a reverse osmosis process to remove all of the fluoride that the United Staes government has put in the water! Every year the Us Gov receives a lot of fluoride from china. Fluoride is a waste and a poison, and instead of the Us Government paying a Buch of money to burn this waste, they just put it in the water! what you need t do, is get your water from the earth. Which is actually the best place to get your water, because its WATER filtered by the earth. Just google wells or springs around your location, some private business/companies offer their water collecting serves, something you should really take advantage of! As for me, I get my water at a place called "Carlsbad alkaline water." good stuff, only 50 cents for 4 gallons. rawr XD  Jesus loves you, and he offers the everything freely, which means you don't need to follow a religion to earn anything. Lets face it, your not perfect, and we need help from God!

Given the general chemical equation 3A + 2B → C + 5D,
Irina-Kira [14]

Answer :

(a) The number of moles of D produced can be, 6.67 moles.

(b) The volume of D prepared can be, 24.5 L

Explanation :

The given chemical reaction is:

3A+2B\rightarrow C+5D

Part (a) :

From the balanced chemical reaction, we conclude that:

As, 3 moles of A react to give 5 moles of D

So, 4 moles of A react to give \frac{5}{3}\times 4=6.67 moles of D

Thus, the number of moles of D produced can be, 6.67 moles.

Part (b) :

As we know that 1 moles of substance occupies 22.4 L volume of gas.

As, 2\times 22.4L volume of B gives 5\times 22.4L volume of D

As, 9.8 L volume of B gives \frac{5\times 22.4L}{2\times 22.4L}\times 9.8L=24.5L volume of D

Thus, the volume of D prepared can be, 24.5 L
