Answer:

b. Mitochondrial respiration

Explanation:

Mitochondrial respiration of plants involves the participation of two major electron transport routes:

1. Cytochrome c oxidase route: cyanide sensitive and coupled to three energy conservation sites.

2. Cyanide-insensitive alternative route: involves alternative oxidase (AOX), branches off the cytochrome oxidase route into the ubiquinone pool, with no energy conservation thereafter as AOX is able to directly oxidize ubiquinol and reduce oxygen to water.

Regardless of the route followed, mitochondrial breathing is a long and complex process. However, it is through this breath that at a given moment electrons are passed to oxygen through a carrier channel in the inner mitochondrial membrane. This happens when cytochromes to and some molecules that have a heme group (with an iron atom) and are linked to a transmembrane protein that connects the matrix to the mitochondrial intermembrane space and have two copper atoms that allow the transport of electrons to the final acceptor, oxygen (O2).

Since Science is all about experiment and reasoning, ' Which kind of milk tastes the best?' and ' Is it ethical to raise cows to produce milk?' - these two questions cannot be answered through science.

What Is Science?

 • Science is a methodical endeavor that creates and arranges knowledge in the form of universe-related explanations and predictions that can be put to the test. Some of the earliest archeological evidence for scientific reasoning is tens of thousands of years old, and science may be as old as the human species.
 • Society values science because it may be used to better living conditions and meet a wide range of fundamental human needs. Just two current examples include the search for a cancer cure and a clean source of energy.

Law Incorporation [45]

Answer:

During the day plants produce oxygen by splitting water molecules in the light-dependent reactions of photosynthesis. At the same time plants use cellular respiration to produce some of the carbon dioxide needed by the light-independent reactions to make sugars. During the night plants produce carbon dioxide because cellular respiration takes place

Explanation:

Photosynthesis is the manufacture of organic food materials in presence of sunlight energy while respiration is the breakdown of food materials in the presence of oxygen. Photosynthesis produces oxygen as a by-product that is used in respiration. Respiration produces carbon dioxide that is used in photosynthesis.
