White may be more risky but i can work well if you know how to manage it. For shapes try to use sharp shapes that may look threatening if you manage it in a certain way. I suggest using x’s, sharp lines, and triangles. Whenever i draw stress relief or vent art i use untame scribbled lines that look random and wild.
