The party column is a form in which candidates are listed in a ballot, here the candidates are listed in separate columns by party, therefore the names of the parties appear at the top, and the titles of the various offices are shown at the sides.
With this type of ballot, people can vote a “straight ticket” or choosing all of a party’s candidates by entering a single mark. The option to vote for a single candidate is also possible.
