- There was a frequent change in her medicine regimen in order to manage her symptoms most effectively.
- This challenge was made more complex as Lia’s parents were illiterate in English and Hmong and also lacked the basic understanding of medicine.
- Lia’s mother was mostly confused or lied about the medicines she gave to Lia.
- Lia’s parents’ faced difficulty in maintaining the rigorous medication schedule for managing Lia's frequent seizures put Lia's life at risk.
Health care should be up to the individual personally. There should be no "Free health care for everyone!" WRONG. 1st of all IT AIN'T FREE!!! Tax payers pay for that to be given to everyone. The more money you make the more you pay for everyone else who doesn't make as much or might not even have a job to get "Free healthcare" So now whether you make $50,000 a year, $12,000 a year or $0 a year you all get the exact same thing.
