Why do you find enzymes in other part of the body but not in the stomach?

Biology

 it become inactive in the low pH of stomach acid. Microbial-derived enzymes are acid-resistant, and can maintain activity at pH as low.Since the site of fungal growth in nature can vary, fungi have evolved enzyme systems that allow the plant to grow under a variety of conditions, including differences in pH and temperature,their environment is more controlled. Manufacturers often enterically coat pancreatic enzymes to provide resistance to acidity. i hope that helps break it down a bit:)

The ability to taste the chemical PTC is determined by a single gene in humans with the ability to taste given by the dominant a
tatuchka [14]

Answer:

75%

Explanation:

This question involves a single gene coding for the ability to taste the chemical PTC. The allele coding for the ability to taste (T) is dominant over the allele coding for the inability to taste (t). This means that an heterozygous individual will have the ability to taste PTC.

According to this question, if two heterozygous tasters (Tt) cross to have a large family i.e. Tt × Tt, the following gametes will be produced by each parent;

Tt = T and t

Using these gametes in a punnet square (see attached image), the following proportion of offsprings will be produced:

TT, Tt, Tt - Tasters (3/4 or 75%)

tt - Non-taster (1/4 or 25%)

Note that based on the question asked, there is a 75% probability that their first child will be a taster because there is equal segregation of alleles into gametes.

1. Based on your knowledge of how the greenhouse effect works, why does the level of carbon dioxide affect the global temperatur
vova2212 [387]

Answer:

1. Earth's temperature is maintained by re radiated infra red radiation by green green house gases and slightly by water vapors in atmosphere. These gases prevent heat from escaping to outer space, so are functionally comparable to glass panel of green house. Thus, this heating effect is referred to as green house effect. Carbon dioxide is a green house gas so increased amount of this gas in the atmosphere will result in increased atmospheric temperature and global warming.

2. Three sources of atmospheric carbon dioxide are:

  •  Volcanic eruption
  • Respiration by plants and animals
  • Decomposition of organic substance.

Explanation:

  • <u>Overall rise in temperature </u>of the Earth due to excessive amount of green house gases in atmosphere that trap heat radiating from Earth's surface is called Global warming.
  • Global warming can cause melting of ice caps, alteration of seasons, destruction of forest and increase in deserts.
  • Green house gases include carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, nitrous oxide, and nitrogen dioxide etc.
  • Among all these gases Carbon dioxide is the major component that is responsible for global warming.
  • Carbon dioxide is added to the atmosphere by burning of fossil fuels, volcanic eruption and respiration. But Burning of fossil fuels itself adds about 18 X 10¹² tonnes of CO₂ anually.
  • Global warming has become a major environmental concern now and needs to be controlled immediately.

Many closely related species of ducks have different courtship dances that are performed to solidify a pair-bond. If you were to
damaskus [11]

Answer:

I would expect to see a new phenotype in which the new duck hybrid species would express a new mixed courtship dance with the behaviors of both parentals.

Explanation:

The cross between both parentals, each from different species, might produce a new phenotype that exhibits both parental dances. The new dance might be considered a hybrid of the parental dances.

Genetically speaking, we can think that there is a gene codifying for the courtship behavior in one species and another gene expressing a different courtship behavior in the other species. This cross´ product would be a hybrid species that exhibits a part of both parentals´ behaviors.
