Dadaism was an artistry and literary movement that began in the European communities during the chaos of World War I. The war drove many artists, intellectuals and writers, especially throughout France and Germany to display their protests through artistic medium.

Many communities were stunned by the Dada movement. However, the Dadaists found this form of expression amusing and somewhat encouraging. And, slowly this movement gained populace from Zurich to other parts of Europe and New York City. Although many began to grow more and more fond this metaphoric and ambiguous movement, it dissolved around the 1920s.

This movement was a protest, but at the same time it managed to capture the hearts of many as it was colorful, quirky and silly.
