When you begin to write a persuasive essay, you take a position on a topic. You choose a thesis and think about evidence to back up your position. To prepare for a counterargument, you will consider possible arguments against your thesis or some aspect of your reasoning. This is a good thing to do. Before you start writing your essay, you need to anticipate who will disagree with your thesis and why.

1. A counter-argument makes an argument stronger; if it's done well.
2. It gives the writer a chance to respond to the reader's objections.
3. It shows the writer as a logical person who has thought about both sides of the argument.

I hope this has helped you :) Good luck!

Answer:

Both poems feature individuals who stand out from or are somehow distinct from the general populace. They aren't following the bulk of the population. They don't fit in with their surroundings. Furthermore, they don't endanger anybody.
